Our General class consist of all types of dancing, singing and acting.

We have a little snack break where the children can bring a snack with them.

Singing classes Saturdays 1:00-1:45pm

In this class we aim to learn new songs and also go over solo work, we also love to just have a good sing song. We aim to boost confidence with children that haven't sung before. The children have the option to sing with or with out a microphone and also with or without the backing vocals. So it does not matter what stage your at we cover everything. Our general feel for this class is to just have fun, boost confidence with no added pressures.

45 Min - £5.00 age 4 +

General Class 12:00-1:00pm

In this class we cover most styles of dancing. We also touch on drama and singing also. Each week is different and led on what the children want to do each week. We aim to have fun and learn along the way, there is no pressure. we like the children to express themselves and share there ideas. so there opinions are very much welcome in our classes regardless of how wacky they may seem.

We take a snack break in this class where the children get to sit as a team for 5-10 minutes and catch there breath gather there ideas and replenish ready for the second half of the class. we find this helps with the children's concentration and also for team building .

60 Min - £5.00 Age 4+

Acrobatics classes Saturdays 11:00-12:00pm

In this class our aim is to increase our strength and flexibility to enable us to complete our tricks safely.

We have a wide range of different abilities in this class. We work with each individual on there progress as not everyone's is moving at the same lever. But there is no pressure and no judgement within our classes, all children in our classes are very supportive and all work with each other to build each others confidents up. We do not push our students to do things they are uncomfortable with but we will guide them with tricks they want to learn. We teach the children how to practice acrobatics safely at home and will advise you if this is something they will need your support or guidance with outside of class.

In this class we still aim to have fun but within a safe managed environment.

Beginners Tap classes - Don't fancy the Gym but want to still keep fit? Then adult tap is for you.

Tap Dancing is a Full-Body Workout
This combination of arms and legs moving together elevates the heart rate, creating a good cardiovascular workout. An hour of tap dancing is thought to burn anywhere between 200 and 600 calories depending on your pace, the steps sequence and the effort used in the hour.

ABOUT US

Our Aim is and will always be to be a low pressure school, We Do NOT do exams and we do NOT do competitions, we are purely a school to bring back the love and fun of dancing, singing and acting. Our aim is to teach our students in a fun low pressure way. We understand that not every child wants a career in this industry but still would like to learn how to sing and dance and act for fun, as a hobby.

We aim to put on some shows to showcase our work to our parents.

We also would like to help raise money for certain charities that are close to our hearts, so the occasional fund raising day will be arrange. (choice of charities welcomed by others)

We understand that out of school activities and hobbies can work out quite expensive when you involve costumes fees, exam class fees, extra show work fees etc, This is why we choose not to do this.

We have NO extra fees, if you wish to take extra classes than you can, if you can't afford one week than this is fine, If you want our uniform than you can if not, its' fine.

There is no pressure for you as parents here at On Point

We understand that weekends are special family times, so we don't charge you for missed classes, This does have an impact on our classes when learning dances etc so its best to not miss to many. But you or your child will never be penalised for taking time away.

We like to try and be as flexible as we possibly can for you all as a family during the challenging financial times.

. We understand life is busy and family commitment's are important.

So you can relax knowing that you wont receive a massive bill for un attended classes.

Your Teacher

On Point stage school , leanne stevens , principle dance teacher, stage school owner

Hi, I am Your Principle of On Point Stage school,

I decided to set On Point Stage school up as I myself was born into a very big family, My parents had 3 girls who danced and 3 boys that took football, this was a very expensive game. They paid so much money for us to take our exams, do competitions plus all the costumes along the way..

My parents scrimped and saved for us to do these hobbies and still To this day I have no idea how they did it all, I understand that every family is different and we all want to make sure all our kids have the opportunity to learn to sing, dance and act without the pressures of money on our parents heads.

I wanted to create fun learning classes that children feel they can enjoy without the pressures of expectations.

We are here to teach what your children want, we listen to our children and we value there thoughts and ideas.

Our classes are based around each individual child in our care and where they want to be and what they want to achieve as individuals.

So far in my role here at On Point Stage School I have met the most amazing children that I'm proud to call my students.

Not only do they learn from me but I also learn so much from them.

I look forward to my classes every week to hear about all the amazing things they have achieved within there week or what they have coming up.

I'm very proud of the achievements we have made as a school so far.

As you can imagine running a school on a pay as you go basis with no exam work or competitions has its challenges. But I would not have it any other way.

the support from our Family's so far has been amazing and I am very honoured and humbled for all your support not just with On Point stage school but for the support you've also given myself.

I am fully DBS check, I also have number of qualifications and experience in dance, musical theatre and Drama,

I studied at The Urdang academy school in London,

I Danced also for Tamworth academy of Dance and Steps Dance studio

(early years) - competing in a wide rage of competitions in Blackpool Winter Gardens, Buxton opera house, Royal Albert Hall and Many Many more

I also took part in a Spice Girls tribute band and also took part in many pantomimes all over the UK and become a model For adage Model agency, where I modelled for Argos and many more.

I now wish to make more memories and more fun times teaching my pupils the art of dance, singing and acting with just a side full of fun along the way.
